How it works
Four clear steps.
No unnecessary workload.
- 01
Tell us about the machine
Send the make, model, year, hours, price, location and photographs—or start with the short form below.
- 02
Approve the advert and terms
We clarify the details, confirm the agreed commission and prepare the listing for your approval.
- 03
We market and qualify
Beresford promotes the machine and handles the first stage of relevant buyer enquiries.
- 04
Complete the sale
You agree the price, contract with the buyer, issue the invoice, receive payment and handle delivery. Beresford invoices the agreed commission.
More than a passive advert
A professional listing,
supported by active promotion.
Every machine receives a clear, shareable page. We then use the channels appropriate to that stock rather than relying on one source of traffic.
Beresford marketplace
A permanent machine page with clear specifications, images and enquiry actions.
Buyer requirements
Matching against relevant enquiries and buyer alerts already held by Beresford.
Relevant marketplaces
Selective distribution where an additional channel suits the machine and seller agreement.
Direct promotion
Search, email, social content and trade outreach where they can create genuine interest.
Who we work with
Dealers, fleets and individual machinery owners.
- Machinery dealers
- Plant-hire fleets
- Farms and contractors
- Fleet operators
- Liquidators
- Businesses with surplus assets
List machinery
Tell us what
you want to sell.
Start with one machine or discuss a regular stock feed. We will review the details and explain the most suitable route before anything is advertised.
Common questions
Before you list.
Is there a fee to list machinery?
No upfront listing fee is charged. The commission payable when an introduced transaction completes is agreed with you before publication.
Who keeps the machine while it is advertised?
You retain the machinery and remain responsible for its security, condition and availability until a transaction is agreed.
Who agrees and completes the final sale?
The seller contracts with and invoices the buyer, receives payment directly, and handles collection or delivery and any warranty. Beresford records the introduction and invoices the seller for the agreed commission when the sale completes.
What information is needed?
At minimum: make, model, year, hours or mileage where relevant, condition, price, VAT status, location and a useful set of current photographs.
